Made from forgotten pieces of denim and featuring a well-loved piece of scarf, this little bag is all about giving beautiful things a second chance.

I can't give you the sun, the moon, or the stars... but I can give you a bag that has a little of each.

One of my favourite things about creating with upcycled denim is finding new purposes for pieces that would otherwise be overlooked. This time, the zipper plackets (yes, I Googled the proper name too! 😄) became a feature instead of being hidden away, adding texture, character, and a story of their own.

Every stitch, every scrap, and every detail has been thoughtfully placed, giving old denim a beautiful second chance.

I still haven't made much of a dent in my offcut box. The funny thing is, when you run your hand through all those bits of denim, a certain energy is released and somehow the magic begins. A little like Dorothy and her ruby slippers... except mine are denim, and I already have them. 😁😁😁

I'm really happy with how this bag turned out, and I have a feeling it may make someone very happy too.

This spacious tote is fully lined and includes two interior pockets — and yes, one of them is a zipper pocket! The bag also closes with a zip, keeping all your bits and bobs safe while offering plenty of room for everyday essentials.

About Sashiko – my take on this slow stitching therapy.

It's exactly that: therapy.

Each stitch helps me work through a thought, easing the burden and quieting the worry, replacing them with a sense of calm and, quite simply, love.

The stitch length is not perfect, and neither is life.

As the needle moves through the fabric, up and down, there is a gentle, hypnotic rhythm—an ebb and flow, a heartbeat, a hope.

With every stitch, I am reminded that beauty is not found in perfection, but in the patience, resilience, and care woven into each moment.
