Today I learned that Vodacom has the ability to deduct your data from your airtime without you switching on your mobile data.
On Friday I recharged with 30 bucks, made 1 call which cost me R8. Then the rest of the airtime was deducted as out of data usage. I am using a dual Sim phone with telkom n coda Sims.
Telkom works for data n coda for my work related calls.
I called them, investigated found out that yes it was deducted and I was refunded.
I am 1 in 1000000 who checked this
What about those who don't?
Vodacom is actually scamming us. This makes me wonder. I remember my father used to complain about disappearing airtime in his lepopotane phone.
Out data usage is possible it can be charged to anyone.
Please be careful and monitor your airtime. If u suspect call them they must refund u.
