A 13 YEAR-OLD GIRL R***D AT NKOWANKOWA LOCATION

NKOWANKOWA: The Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offenses Unit in Tzaneen has launched manhunt for suspect, who r***d a 13-year-old girl, on 29 November 2023 at around 18h00 in Nkowankowa Location, Ritavi policing area under Mopani District.

According to the police reports, the minor child was going to the shop when she met the suspect, who gave her money to buy him a box of matches. When the child returned to give the matches, suspect dragged the victim into his house and allegedly injected her with an unknown needle and r***d her. He thereafter, forced the victim to bath and further threatened to kill her.

The victim went home and reported the incident to her mother. She immediately took her daughter to local hospital and also alerted the Police about the incident.

A r**e case was opened for further investigation.

The Provincial Commissioner SAPS in Limpopo has expressed dismay following the r**e ordeal. "Men are supposed to be protectors of women and children. We call upon everyone to accelerate actions towards the fight against the gender-based violence pandemic. We simply cannot allow children to be tormented in this manner. Enough is Enough," said Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe.

The Provincial Commissioner has directed the FCS unit to leave no stone unturned to apprehend the suspect.

A 45 YEAR-OLD MAN ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY KILLING HIS 21 YEAR-OLD GIRLFRIEND

MONSTERLOOS: The Police in Hlogotlou have arrested a 45 year old man for killing his alleged girlfriend Zindle Mokoena,(21), soon after she was released by court yesterday, following an incident that took place in Monsterloos village outside Sekhukhune in which the deceased assaulted and seriously injured the suspect on Tuesday 04 October.

The deceased was arrested on charges of Assault GBH after the couple allegedly had an altercation at the man's house and the woman ended up stabbing the boyfriend with a sharp object. She was arrested on Thursday and appeared before the Nebo Magistrate's Court yesterday, Friday 07 October 2022 where she was released on free bail.The victim thereafter went to the local tavern and her boyfriend whom she had assaulted, arrived at the tarven at about 19:45 and dragged her to her house which is next to the tavern.Upon arrival, he stabbed her several times, killing her instantly.

The suspect was arrested on the scene after police were notified.Police have opened a case of murder.

The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has slammed the incident and called for harsh consequences against the suspect who should have never taken the law into his hands.

The suspect will appear in the Nebo Magistrate's Court on Monday, 10 October 2022 facing a charge of murder.

Police investigations continue.
