Made by Mosaic is a for-profit business started to support Mosaic Community Developments (Mosaic), a non-profit organization. Made by Mosaic creates jobs for foster parents participating in Mosaic's orphan care model. Mosaic was started in 2008 by South Africans Meyer and Louise Conradie, who felt called to address the growing orphan crisis in the townships of South Africa. Mosaic's comprehensive

orphan care model includes building homes, providing social development for foster parents and foster children, further educational opportunities for children in the Mosaic community, and creating jobs for unemployed foster parents.
