We’ve wanted to build something of our own for a long time.

Not because we thought we needed another business.

But because there’s something special about creating something from an idea and watching it slowly become real.

There were years of talking about it.

Ideas.

What ifs.

Maybe one day.

And then, eventually, we decided to stop talking about it and start.

That’s how Marwia began.

We wanted to create something our children could watch us build.

Something that would teach them that ideas take work.

That good things take time.

And that sometimes you just have to be brave enough to start.

We don’t know exactly where this journey will take us.

But we’re excited to find out.

Some of the things I know about being a mother and building a business, I learned by watching my own mom.

My mom is a pensioner now, but growing up, I watched her balance being a mother with being a businesswoman.

I watched her work hard, take responsibility, keep going when things were difficult and still make time for her family.

Now that I’m a mother myself and building a business of my own, I understand those lessons in a completely different way.

It isn’t always easy to balance being a mom, having dreams of your own and trying to build something meaningful.

But I’m grateful that I had someone who showed me that it is possible.

I hope that one day, when my boys are older, they’ll look back and see the same thing in me.

Not that I had everything figured out.

But that I kept learning.
I kept trying.
I kept showing up.

Maybe that’s one of the greatest things we can give our children — an example of what it looks like to keep growing. 🤎

So, why Marwia?

The name actually started with our two boys — Markus and Wian.

Long before there were leather bags, a website or a brand, there was simply a name.

And over time, that name started to mean something more.

For us, Marwia became a way of putting a little of ourselves into something we could build together.

Something our children could watch grow.

Something that reminds us that it’s never too late to dream, to learn something new or to start building something of your own.

We’ve had the desire to create something of our own for a long time.

And now, that little idea has finally started becoming something real.

That’s Marwia.

A name that started with our boys.
A dream that grew with time.
And a story we’re excited to share with you.

What if the things we leave behind aren’t always the biggest things?

Sometimes, it’s something you can hold.

A bag that travelled with you on your first big trip.

A wallet that was there when you got your first job.

Something your dad carried for years.

Something your children eventually find themselves carrying.

Those are the things that become part of our stories.

That’s where the idea for Marwia began.

We wanted to create genuine leather goods that aren’t made for a season or a trend.

Things that can become part of your everyday life. Things that travel with you, collect a few scratches and memories along the way, and still have a place in your life years from now.

Because sometimes, the things we use every day become the things we remember most.

That’s the kind of thing we want Marwia to be.

Something worth carrying.
Something worth keeping.
Something worth passing on.
