What an amazing lesson this was: we printed, we painted and drew. The kids absolutely loved it and had so much fun coming up with what they would draw on their maps once their landformas and oceans were dry.

What if learning letters could feel a little less like learning?

Letter formation shouldn't start with a pencil and paper.

Our Letter Sensory Trays give children a hands-on way to explore letters, practise formation and build words through sensory play.

Each tray has a raised starting dot and directional guides, helping little fingers feel and follow the pathway as they practise forming each letter.

The border around each letter creates a defined space turning it into its own little sensory tray, ready to be filled with sand, rice, salt, playdough or whatever else you have on hand.

So children can see it, feel it, trace it, fill it and play with it.

From my brother-in-law who helped fix these shelves up, to my husband and his staff, and to my kids, thank you. Thank you for allowing me the space and providing me the support in my first market. It truly was a team effort.

Our letter sensory trays allow children to touch and feel the shape of letters in 3D before we expect them to write them.

They learn about letter formation by tracing the raised directional lines, feeling the starting point and exploring the shape.

Add some additional sensory material like pom poms, coloured rice or playdough and they will learn all this through play.
