Hibiscus Red

Hibiscus rosa-sinensis, commonly known as Chinese Hibiscus or Rose of China, is a vibrant evergreen shrub celebrated for its large, showy red flowers and tropical charm. Its stunning blooms and lush foliage make it an ideal focal point for gardens, patios, and landscaped borders.

Thriving in warm climates, Hibiscus rosa-sinensis prefers semi to full sun and performs best when watered regularly during its flowering season. This semi-hardy plant can tolerate mild frost and will often resprout after colder periods, making it well-suited to Pretoria and Johannesburg gardens. Its compact, bushy habit also allows for container planting, hedges, or specimen displays.
