Slow art in a fast world. ⏳🎨
Variety is the spice of life! When you look at one of my pieces, you’re seeing hours - sometimes months - of reaseach, quiet craftsmanship and storytelling.
How do I decide on the medium?
To me, an artwork is far more than an aesthetic object, it is a vessel for shared human experiences. Every series I undertake begins with a core narrative, exploring themes of resilience, vulnerability, and social dynamics.
Because every story is different, the medium must be fluid.
A narrative might call for:
• The tactile weight and permanence of bronze sculpture
• The precision and patience of hand-carved linocuts or paper cut-outs
• The depth and texture of oil, charcoal, or hand embroidery
Taking the slow, time-intensive path allows each piece to carry a genuine weight and presence. My hope is always that when a collector stands in front of a finished work, they don't just see the technique, but they recognize a piece of their own story reflected back at them.
I move freely between sculpture, oil, ink, paper, and handwork. Whatever best captures the soul of the story.
Art should connect us to each other and slow us down, if only for a moment.
