From Digital Design to Reality — The 3D Resin Printing Process
Have you ever wondered how a 3D resin model goes from a digital design on a screen to a detailed, solid piece you can hold in your hand?
At Victory Hobbies & Toys, it all starts with a high-resolution 3D model — a design that captures every line, curve, and feature of the original vehicle. Once perfected, it’s loaded into our resin printer, where the magic begins.
Each model is built layer by layer, with UV light curing the resin into solid form. Each layer is only microns thick — thinner than a strand of hair — creating the flawless detail and smooth finish that makes resin prints so incredible.
When the print is complete, it’s not ready just yet. There’s a whole process that follows:
Cleaning – excess resin is washed away using a specialized solution.
Curing – the model is hardened under UV light to reach its final strength.
From start to finish, it can take up to two full days to print and prepare just one model — like our 1:24 scale V8 Sprint Car. And that’s before you even start painting!
This blend of technology, patience, and craftsmanship is what makes 3D resin printing so rewarding — whether you’re building a display model, painting Warhammer figures, or crafting your own custom creations.
