And another triple AA plus meeting was held.
You will find an updated track plan....
And some extra pillars where there was not enough support. And René and I decided to uproot some tracks at the station. They were laid horribly, kinks both vertical and horizontal. Now it's a happy place for those metal wheels again.
And that brings me to the special track adjustment tool, available from all 3 of us for R195.00 for a packet of 10..

Long awaited but we got a train going around.
Few tweaks still needed.

And on we go, by early this morning we managed to do more than 60m of track worth of droppers....that's a lot of wiring.
And no shorts! But a few meters away now from the cut-off of this section. The layout will be divided in 3 sections, with the help of DCC boosters. And someone thought that brandy and coke got coke just for coloring purposes....and promptly got us some nice gin...with a different colour....
Also you will find a detailed CAD drawing of the top part of the layout....made after those fine examples of nourishment... and a professional trick how to keep a broken wire in place!

And here another update, big mile stone by the chops, nickname for one is a nickname for all! Lots of wiring, soldering, fault tracing and more wire pulling. But the buss wire is in, droppers are done, just the next step of joining them all to the buss wire. One step closer to a proper South African model railroad.

Draad trek.....
Whilst I keep myself busy with the last part of the loop to have one continious run of about 130m (!) completed, Riekus and René are busy pulling wire....
Out of sight of course, under the table and lots of noise and profanities are being uttered.
But the cable is in and next time we can start joining the droppers and adding a few more.
It's getting close....
