🚨 EXAMINATION IRREGULARITIES 🚨
Candidates are reminded that examination irregularities carry serious consequences.
Depending on the nature and severity of the offence, sanctions may include:
🔴 Nullification of results – the marks for the affected paper are declared null and void.
🟠 1 Examination Barring – the candidate is prohibited from writing the next examination.
🟠 2 Examination Barring – the candidate is prohibited from writing the next two examinations.
🔴 3 Examination Barring – the candidate is prohibited from writing the next three examinations.
Irregularities may include possession or use of electronic devices or unauthorised material, group copying, removal of examination scripts, impersonation, bribery, access to leaked examination papers, submission of multiple scripts, and intentional handwriting irregularities.
Serious offences such as impersonation, bribery and examination paper leakage may also be referred to the South African Police Service (SAPS), while officials implicated in examination irregularities may face disciplinary action and, in serious cases, suspension from examination-related activities.
