Forgive my absence on here. Life got busy, and my other job had me traveling. I’m back with the wrapping of a big birthday gift. It’s someone’s birthday in my house tomorrow. Wrapping big gifts is a challenge as one has to join paper to get the gift fully covered. I only had black paper wide enough, which helps with making the join less intrusive. I decided to add a band to hide the join and break the black and then layered various ribbon to create volume, mixing up textures, widths & prints but keeping with colours that worked with the blue band. There are no rules in gift wrapping when it comes to the finishes. I just keep adding until I think it looks like “enough”. X
