We have been completely inundated with phone calls and messages from people who want to sterilise their cats. We have 85 cats on our list that need to be sterilised. These cats are living in the townships and their owners genuinely and truly cannot afford to cover these costs. Neither can we. Kitty season is coming up and now is our chance to make a difference. Our sterilisation fund is COMPLETELY depleted and for the first time since 2024, we have NO MONEY left in our sterilisation fund. We are humbly asking for donations towards this 🙏🙏 Please… we are truly DESPERATE. We need to raise R40 000,00. According to the Japanese zodiac, each year of the twelve-year cycle is represented by a different animal. 2027 is the Year of the Sheep🐏 We invite you to submit a single image on the theme “Year of the Sheep”.

Qualified entries will be juried, and the selected image will feature on our limited-run, washi broadsheet calendar. The calendars will be silkscreen printed, by hand, at Smokestack in Hamilton, Ontario.

The chosen artist will receive five calendars and a $200 gift certificate from The Japanese Paper Place✨
