The Neelsie is your one-stop-student-shop – offering 22 000 m2 of shopping convenience in the heart of Stellenbosch. Before you take a doss in the middle of your first lecture, boost your energy levels with a quick cuppa from one of our coffee shops or grab an amasi from Kwikspar. Late for your next lecture, but hungry like the Maties front row at half time? Not to worry, we’ve got your appetite covered. Grab some slap chips or a super smoothie on your way to class. We’ve got a big screen TV for all-day entertainment and a stage for awesome shows and promos. Various recreational spaces are available for hire. Die Vrouevereniging Hall, situated on the first floor, regularly hosts student dances and functions. Our top floor is home to MFM 92.6, the Student Representative Council, MAD SQUARE (MAD²), various student associations’ offices, as well as FHARGA’s lecture rooms and study area.

Sushi, smash burgers and a chikka cheeseburger… which one would you pick? 🍣🍔

Our creator put a few SPAR meals at the Neelsie to the test, and the chikka cheeseburger and chips took the crown! 🏆

What's your favourite pick? 👀

Fourth term has us fighting for our lives academically. 📚 But between the deadlines, assignments and academic chaos, don’t forget to make time for YOU.

In this video our student creator, Lindokuhle, takes us with her as she reconnects with her love for art, with a little help from UniStat Stellenbosch in the Neelsie! 🎨🖌️

Because sometimes, you need a break from studying to remember what you love doing outside of it. ❤️

Our creator got the Practical Magic 2 experience at the Neelsie Roadhouse Cinema, and we're still not over the witchy vibes. ✨

The movie may have left the big screen, but the question remains… Would you watch Practical Magic 2 again? 👀 Or are you still loyal to the original?

After some serious investigation, the winner? A chicken salad from Jeff’s. 👀🥗

Healthy-ish, filling, and still very much giving I have a 2pm lecture.

What’s your go-to healthy meal in the Neelsie? Tell us where we should investigate next 👇
