💧 A different winter... and our dams are showing it.

This time last year, the Western Cape's major dams were sitting at noticeably lower levels than they are today. Thanks to a much wetter start to this winter, our water storage has recovered well and is tracking above last year's levels. In fact, current storage is also still sitting comfortably above the average seen over the past five years - currently at approximately 76%

While that's certainly good news, it's also a reminder that the Western Cape's rainfall is unpredictable. A few dry weeks can quickly change the picture, which is why making the most of every drop still matters.

Rainwater harvesting isn't just for drought years—it's about making smart use of the rain while it's here.
