We are the clay, You are the potter;

There is something deeply comforting in these words.

We spend so much of life striving, planning and trying to shape our own paths. Yet Scripture reminds us that we are not abandoned to chance. We are held in the hands of the Great Artizan.

Just as clay is gently formed by the potter, so too are we shaped through seasons of joy, loss, growth and becoming. Sometimes the process feels uncertain. Sometimes we cannot yet see the finished work. But the Potter does.

Today, may we trust the hands that shape us.
