What a night for Hi Service Gas Kleinmond! We are immensely proud of our very own Thabo Ngomane, who truly stole the show at the RFC Kleinmond (Kleinmond Rugby Club)80th Anniversary Gala (established 1946).
Thabo walked away with three massive honours: Sportsperson of the Year, Players' Player of the Year, and Most Valuable Player of the Year! A huge congratulations to Thabo, his plus-one Demi Afrika, and his coach, Clement Makka, for this incredible and well-deserved achievement.
We are just as proud to celebrate alongside our neighbours on the same premises, Talisman Hire Kleinmond. Congratulations to their players, Dirk Bailey (coached by Clement Makka) and Jowayn Jantjies (coached by Wessel Arendse).
A special shoutout also goes to Coach Edward Apollis for his dedication in getting the C-team boys ready to step up into the B and A teams.
A heartfelt thank you to the sponsors who made this milestone event possible: Talisman Hire Kleinmond and branch manager Theresa Snyman, Kleinmond Laser Cutting, and Kleinmond Super Spar.
We also extend our gratitude to the distinguished guests who attended and supported the evening: Boland Rugby Union CEO Quintin van Rooyen, outgoing Ward Councillor Grant Cohen - Kleinmond (a true community leader who remains as passionate and involved as ever), Chairman Basil Swartz, Vice-Chairman Derick Adonis, and Darryl Pekeur for the vote of thanks.
Thank you as well to our brilliant MC, Lucian Cupido, for adding to the magic of the evening.
As Springbok captain Siya Kolisi reminds us: "Success is not a one-man show. It takes a whole team and a community standing together."
Congratulations to everyone who played a part in this unforgettable season! 🏉🔥
