Our friendly Richan family from South Island, New Zealand, ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฟ are on an epic tour of South Africa and of course a kudu hunt ranks right up there on the checklist for things to do whilst in Springbok Country. Jason tried, scored and converted a beaut of a trophy bull along with PH Philip ๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿ†

The family toured the beautiful Cape before the hunt and are headed for the legendary Kruger National Park now.

Last weekend our BJ Electrical group returned to kick off their hunting season on Blaauwkrantz for 2026. Here are some pics of their action packed two days at Blaauwkrantz last weekend.

Look out for some of their hunting adventures in the weekends to come as we get our local hunters into the game on the mighty Blaauwkrantz Ranch!

Our UK ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ group had a great week at Blaauwkrantz.

Mike returned and Tim came along as a first timer for some trophy hunting mixed with management animals which is proving to be a major attraction here at Blaauwkrantz in recent seasons. As the Blaauwkrantz Ranch grows in size, wildlife habitat and populations grow too. Management is thus essential in maintaining a balance between healthy animals and the sensitive, unique succulent Thicket Biome we are blessed with here in this part of the Eastern Cape.

Mike and Tim also visited Splitting Image Taxidermy on their way back home.

Catching up on our SCI Convention donated hunts, another Safari Club International - SCI donated hunt for the books with the Parrack and Foley families from Minnesota tagging out all their animals and then some, fantastic stuff๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

A special congratulations to Kaitlyn on taking her first animal, a blesbok, with PH Philip. Memories to last a lifetime!

Blaauwkrantz is happy to donate to a good cause such as Safari Club International, especially when the donation party adds extra animals to their list such as this group did. A win-win for everyone participating.

Our Spanish father-and-son team, Miguel and Miguel had a busy 10 day hunt with PH Pieter. Their custom package of course included a number of phacocheros๐Ÿ’ฅ (warthogs) ๐Ÿ— and management animals. The pair had a blast!

Thom returned to Blaauwkrantz Safaris 9 years after his first safari here with his son Hunter. Teaming up again with PH Philip, Thom was after the mountain species and the team delivered the goods in grand style, taking a mountain reedbuck and vaal rhebok high in the hills of the mighty Winterberg of the Easten Cape.

It's always great having our old clients returning and it was fantastic having Thom back again too! ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฒ

Always nice having our hunters returning, especially 18 years later!

Floridian, Paul, returned after hunting here in 2007 & 2008. This time around he came for our growing in popularity management hunt package with PH Eric and then some.

Well done Paul, it was great to have to have you back especially since we fondly remember you taking our number #1 kudu bull for the year back in 2007 with PH Barry Long. Thanks for coming back!

South Carolina father-and-son team, Ray and Mike made it to Blaauwkrantz for a 4 day hunt and also took advantage of the superb conditions. Along with PH Pieter they took two kudu an old bushbuck, blesbok and springbok to seal an action-packed, express safari last week.

At Blaauwkrantz Safaris we pride ourselves in being able to customize hunting packages according to the hunter's and their families requirements.
