💊 MEDICINE CAN HELP — BUT YOUR BODY STILL HAS TO PROCESS IT
Modern medicine has transformed lives, and prescribed medicines can be essential for treating illness and managing health conditions.
But have we ever stopped to think about what happens inside the body after we take them?
Many medicines are broken down and processed by the liver, while the kidneys help remove many substances and their by-products from the body.
And it isn't only prescription medication. Over-the-counter painkillers, sleep aids, supplements and other products can also add to the workload.
For someone taking several medicines over a long period, the body's natural processing and elimination systems may have a lot to deal with.
⚠️ This doesn't mean we should stop taking necessary medication. Never stop or change prescribed medication without speaking to your healthcare professional.
Instead, it is a reminder to ask:
What are we asking our bodies to process every day?
And how can we support the body's natural systems through good nutrition, hydration, healthy lifestyle choices and appropriate professional guidance?
🌿 Your body works hard for you every day. Give it the support it deserves.
