🌿 Picnic Under the Fig Trees | 1 & 2 October

Bring the kids, pack a picnic basket and come spend a relaxed day in the fresh Lowveld air at Pieker Farm. 🌳🧺

For just R50 per vehicle, the whole family is welcome to wander around the farm, find a shady spot under the fig trees and simply enjoy being outdoors together.

Kids can be kids — they can explore, pick up pine cones, climb and play in the avocado trees, and even join us for our late-harvest avo picking. 🥑🌿

And while they explore, moms can slow down, breathe in the fresh air and enjoy some good food and good company. ❤️
Bring your own picnic basket, or make it even easier and order a Pieker Grazing Box online to enjoy under the trees.

There will also be a farm mini bar and a pop-up farm stall filled with local goodies to browse and enjoy.

🇿🇦 Happy Heritage Day from Pieker! 🥑🔥
Today we celebrate the flavours, people and traditions that make South Africa home. ❤️🇿🇦

So fire up the braai, gather your people and put avo on the table! Here’s our Pieker-inspired Heritage Day feast — simple, fresh and proudly Lowveld.

🇿🇦 Heritage Day T-Bone & Avo Feast
Golden Turmeric Sauce • Braai Mielies • Garden Salad

💛 Golden Turmeric Sauce💛
You need:
½ cup Greek yoghurt
1–1½ tsp turmeric
½ tsp fresh grated ginger
Juice of ½ lemon
1 tsp honey
1 tbsp olive oil
Pinch of salt
Plenty of freshly cracked black pepper
Splash of water to loosen

Mix: Whisk everything together until smooth, creamy and golden. Add a splash of water until you have the perfect drizzle.

Why turmeric? 🌿
Turmeric contains curcumin, a natural compound studied for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Pairing it with black pepper may also help your body absorb curcumin. A delicious, nourishing addition to your plate. 💛

🥩🌽🥑 The rest
You need:
T-bone steaks • fresh mielies • butter • garden salad • ripe Pieker avos • lemon • coriander • salt & pepper • chilli flakes.

Pile it together:
Braai your T-bone and mielies over hot coals. Slice the steak, add charred mielies, fresh garden salad and plenty of creamy avo. Drizzle generously with golden turmeric sauce and finish with herbs, chilli and lemon.
