Our Plasgrow ladies enjoyed a site visit to the new fresh produce market opening on 27 August. It’s exciting to see new opportunities taking shape for growers and fresh produce suppliers in the Lowveld.

Even better, one of our very own Plasgrow clients will be selling their produce at the market! It’s always rewarding to see the growers and businesses we supply gaining access to new markets and new customers.

Fresh produce markets play an important role in connecting local farmers with buyers, strengthening regional food supply chains and creating more opportunities for agricultural businesses to grow.

We’re looking forward to seeing this new Lowveld market come to life.

On Saturday we had the privilege of attending the BBRFA Farmers Day in Bushbuckridge, spending time with small-scale farmers who are the backbone of so many communities and businesses in our region.

Events like these remind us that agriculture is so much more than crops and production. It is about people, relationships and sharing knowledge that helps us all grow stronger together.

What stood out most were the stories behind the farms, their resilience, determination and passion of farmers who work tirelessly to grow quality produce, create opportunities and feed our communities. It was inspiring to hear how many of these farmers are successfully supplying businesses right here in our immediate area.

A heartfelt thank you to the Bushbuckridge Farmers Association for creating a platform where farmers, suppliers and industry partners can connect, learn and celebrate the incredible work being done in our agricultural community. We are grateful to have been part of such a meaningful day.
