How to Produce more bags of Maize per Acre
◇Soil Testing:
Know your soil pH and nutrients. Apply lime if acidic.pH 5.5–6.5
◇Land Preparation:
Deep plough and harrow to fine tilth.(6–9 inches)
◇Right Seed: Use high-yielding hybrid (e.g.,PAN 9M 91 , DK777). Plant at 75x25 cm spacing. This is Tsavo variety
◇Planting Fertilizer:
Apply NPK (50 kg/acre) at planting.
◇Top Dressing:
Use CAN or Urea (50–75 kg/acre) at knee height.
◇W**d Control:
W**d at 2 and 6 weeks or use herbicides.
◇Foliar Feeding:
Apply 2–3 times to boost growth and stress tolerance.
◇NPK Before Flowering:
Apply NPK 17:17:17 at 6–8 weeks to support cob development.
◇Pest & Disease Control:
Spray early against fall armyworm and diseases.
◇Post-Harvest:
Dry properly, store in airtight bags to avoid losses.
