Books Interview - Answered by Kakwezhi Kalaluka

1. The Origin Question
_What’s the first book that made you realize “books are for me”?_
It was "Rich Dad Poor Dad" by Robert Kiyosaki. Not because I got rich overnight 😂
But because it made me ask: “What are you teaching your mind every day?”
That book showed me reading isn’t about school. It’s about upgrading how you see money, work, and yourself.

2. The Standards Question
_What book shaped your standards the most?_
"The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" by Stephen Covey.
Habit 1: Be Proactive. Habit 3: Put First Things First.

3. The Zambian Lens
_Which Zambian author should every young Zambian read?_
Namwali Serpell and Mubanga Kalimamukwento.
We have storytellers that can stand with the world, but we don’t push them.
Every young Zambian should read them so we know our stories are valid. Our Copperbelt, our markets, our cousinship — that’s literature too.

4. The Hustle Question
_Starter pack for a young entrepreneur in Kitwe/Lusaka?_
1. "The Lean Startup" - Eric Ries → Test small, fail cheap.
2. "Atomic Habits" - James Clear → Standards are built daily.
3. "Dare to Lead"- Brene Brown → Lead with courage, not shortcuts.
Hustle without values will break you. Hustle with values will build Zambia.

5. The Hard One
_Book you couldn’t finish?_
I started *"Capital in the 21st Century"* by Piketty.
Put it down because it was too academic and far from the trader in Chisokone.
It taught me: if knowledge can’t be explained to my auntie selling tomatoes, then I haven’t understood it.

*6. The Character Question*
_Your life’s chapter title for 2026?_
*"Building Under Streetlights"*
The character I relate t
