The Book Lady shop offers a wide selection of children's books for all ages imported directly from the UK. The Book Lady shop is open on Fridays 9-12pm.

Books include Letterland, board books, picture books, novels and dictionaries. The latest adult fiction in paperback is also available. If you cannot make this time please phone or Whatsapp on 0772416264 to make an appointment .

Graphic novels are becoming more popular especially for reluctant readers.
These books are ideal as they are colourful, often have funny stories and have varied amounts of text.
The Book Lady shop will be open tomorrow (Friday 10 July) from 9-12pm.

Had a busy June with two book displays.
How lucky am I.
First it was Springvale. A really early start but well worth it. Everyone was so welcoming. Teas delicious and oh yes sales were great!!!
Then it was Arundel!!! Totally different but just as fun. So good to see both the students and staff so invested in books and reading.
Thank you to Springvale and Arundel.

On my recent trip to Cape Town I managed to visit the bookshop Book League where the inspiration for the Book Lady started. I had been part of a book ordering service for adult books Book League and when my two children came a long I asked if there was something similar for children. Unfortunately there was not but with one of my greatest dreams being owning a bookshop I decided this was my time to get on with it. The Book Lady shop started with a box of books imported from the UK which I sold on my verandah at a coffee morning. And here I am 17 years later living my dream.
Thank you for all your support over the years.
It has been beyond my wildest expectations.
