Growing in Trust

Following God often takes us through unfamiliar territory, but He is faithful to lead us into His good plans.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Most of us can look back and see moments when God asked us to step beyond what felt comfortable. Maybe it was a call to forgive, to act generously, or to walk into something unfamiliar. These invitations can feel overwhelming—but they’re actually signs that God is drawing us deeper into relationship with Him.

Our natural tendency is to set boundaries around the areas where we feel safe following God. We might not say it out loud, but our hearts sometimes whisper, “I’ll trust You here, Lord, but not there.” It’s an honest impulse, and God isn’t surprised by it. But He loves us too much to let us settle for a small story when He has a larger, grander one in mind (Eph. 3:20).

When God challenges us beyond our self-determined limits, He isn’t testing us—He’s inviting us into a higher level of trust. No matter how far we’ve come, there’s always more of His goodness to discover. Each new step of surrender is an opportunity to experience His faithfulness in ways we haven’t yet imagined.

The Christian life isn’t about arriving. It’s about following. And the One who leads us knows the way, loves the journey, and has already prepared what’s ahead. All we have to do is take the next step.

GOD CAN CEREAL
FRIDAY 28 August 2026

GOD CAN GIVE YOU A FRESH START

Scripture
“Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. ]They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.”
Lamentations 3:22–23 (NKJV)

MORNING THOUGHT
A new day has arrived.
New responsibilities.
New opportunities.
New challenges.
And, most importantly, new mercies.

One of the enemy’s favourite strategies is to make you carry yesterday into today.
Yesterday’s disappointment.
Yesterday’s argument.
Yesterday’s failure.
Yesterday’s worry
Yesterday’s mistake.
Yesterday’s unanswered prayer.
But God says His mercies are “new every morning.”
That means you don’t have to begin this day defeated by what happened yesterday.

God has given you another day.
Another opportunity to pray.
Another opportunity to believe.
Another opportunity to forgive.
Another opportunity to try again.
Another opportunity to become everything He has called you to be.

DON’T LIVE TODAY ON YESTERDAY’S EXPERIENCE

Yesterday is seen in how we live today.
When the pressure comes—remember the Word.
When someone irritates you—remember the Word.
When fear knocks—remember the Word.
When temptation comes—remember the Word.
When you face a difficult decision—remember the Word.

WHAT GOD CAN DO
• God can give you a fresh beginning.
• God can restore your enthusiasm.
• God can renew your strength.
• God can give wisdom for every decision.
• God can help you release yesterday’s disappointments.
• God can open unexpected doors this week.

THINK ABOUT THIS
Your car has a large windscreen and a small rear-view mirror for a reason.
You occasionally need to look behind you.
But you cannot drive forward safely while constantly staring backwards.
Some people are trying to enter their future while continually watching their past.

Learn from yesterday.
Thank God for yesterday.
But then look forward.
There is more ahead of you than behind you.

A WORD FOR THIS WEEK

“I wonder what will go wrong this week?”
Begin saying:
“I wonder what God is going to do this week?”
Expect opportunities to bless someone.
Expect opportunities to grow.
Expect God to give wisdom.
Expect His grace to be sufficient.
Expect His presence to accompany you.
Faith doesn’t mean every day will be easy.
Faith means that whatever happens, God will be with you.

DECLARATION
This is a new day.
God’s mercy is new this morning.
I release yesterday.
I refuse to live in regret.
I will not be controlled by fear.
God is ordering my steps.
God is renewing my strength.
God is guiding my decisions.
God is opening the right doors.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for bringing me into another day.
Thank You for Your mercies that are new every morning.
Today I surrender my plans, responsibilities, family, work, finances, ministry, and future into Your hands.
Give me wisdom for every decision.
Grace for every difficult person.
Strength for every challenge.
Patience in every delay.
And faith when I cannot see what You are doing.
Help me to take what I received in Your House yesterday and live it throughout this week.
May my words encourage, my actions demonstrate Christ, and my life bring glory to Your Name.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.

CLOSING THOUGHT
Yesterday is finished.
Tomorrow has not arrived.
But God has given you today.
Don’t waste today regretting yesterday or worrying about tomorrow.
Live it.
Love.
Serve.
Pray.
Believe.
And walk confidently into this new week knowing:
GOD CAN!

Every new day brings new opportunities…
But sometimes it also brings new challenges.
God never promised that life would be free from difficulties.
He promised that we would never face them alone.
Whatever lies before you today…
A difficult decision…
A demanding responsibility…
An unexpected challenge…
Remember that God has already gone before you.
His strength is greater than your weakness.
His grace is sufficient for every assignment.
You do not have to rely on your own ability.
Lean upon the Lord, and He will sustain you.

*WHAT GOD CAN DO*
• God can strengthen the weary.
• God can encourage the discouraged.
• God can give wisdom for every decision.
• God can replace fear with faith.
• God can uphold you through every trial.
• God can carry you when your strength is gone.

*THINK ABOUT THIS*
An eagle does not fear the storm.
It uses the wind to rise above it.
Likewise, the very challenge that seems determined to defeat you may become the opportunity God uses to lift you higher.

*DECLARATION*
Today I will walk in God’s strength.
I will not fear.
I will not be discouraged.
God is with me.
God is helping me.
God is directing my steps.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

*PRAYER*
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your constant presence in my life.
When I feel weak, be my strength.
When I feel uncertain, be my wisdom.
When I feel discouraged, fill me with hope.
Help me to trust You completely and to walk confidently in every opportunity You place before me today.
I know that with You, all things are possible.

GOD CAN

God Can Give You Fresh Strength for a New Week

Welcome to a brand-new week.
Today we are not just starting another Monday; we are stepping into another opportunity to see God’s faithfulness.
Many people wake up on a Monday already thinking about the pressures, responsibilities, and challenges that lie ahead.
But as believers, we begin the week with a different perspective:
God is already ahead of us.
Whatever this week holds, God is already there.
Whatever needs your attention, God already has the answer.
Whatever requires strength, God is ready to supply it.

*Scripture*
“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped.”
— Psalm 28:7 (NKJV)

There are times when we feel strong and confident.
There are other times when we feel weary and uncertain.
The good news is that our strength does not come from ourselves.
It comes from the Lord.
God never asks us to carry life’s burdens alone.
He invites us to trust Him, depend on Him, and draw strength from His presence.
When we rely on God’s strength, we discover that He is more than enough for every challenge, every opportunity, and every assignment.
*Think About This*
A lamp shines brightly, not because of its own power, but because it remains connected to its source.
In the same way, our lives shine brightest when we remain connected to God.
The secret is not striving harder.
The secret is staying connected.

*What God Can Do This Week*
God can strengthen you.
God can guide you.
God can open doors for you.
God can give you wisdom.
God can provide for every need.
God can give you peace in every situation.
God can use you to be a
blessing to others.

*Declare*
This is the day the Lord has made.
God is my strength and my helper.
I will walk in faith and confidence.
I will not be overwhelmed.
I will trust the Lord with all my heart.
This week belongs to God.

*Prayer*
Father, thank You for the gift of a new week.
Thank You for Your faithfulness, Your mercy, and Your grace.
As I begin this week, I place every plan, every responsibility, and every concern into Your hands.
Strengthen me, guide me, and help me to walk in Your wisdom.
May my life bring glory to You in all that I do.
In Jesus’ Name,
Closing Thought
Do not face this week in your own strength.
Walk forward knowing that God is with you, God is for you, and God will help you.
Remember… *GOD CAN*.
