Window shots are tricky, trying to get the right time of day (enough light), the right weather (not too much glare), the right moment (no distracting cars), all to focus on what's in the window and not in the shop behind or reflected from the street.

The first shot is during the middle of the day, overcast, with my new clip-on polaroid lens that cuts reflections somewhat but only if you're at a 90 degree angle to the sunlight. I've also edited out the circles of the lights in the ceiling and made the image darker so the reflections don't overwhelm everything.
+
I took the second shot without the lens and have done the same editing.

The third photo I took at around 5pm and have left in the down lights. I edited to increase the contrast and colour saturation a little.

If you've got any tips on photographing window displays I'm happy to hear them!
