Thanks everyone for joining us for Monday Night Pokémon last night.

There were a lot of fun decks in the mix last night. Going around the tables we saw Thwackey, Stunfisk, Toucannon, Blaziken, Wailord, Heracross and Excadrill all in play in the one round. It's great to see the variety of decks players are brewing and testing during the off-season.

It was a busy evening at guf tonight and we're back on the SWU posts - so let's go! With Ashes of the Empire in full swing we had a good spread of decks tonight having a lot of fun.

A huge thank you to the 6 players who trecked out tonight to play in our weekly play! We had three very cool rounds with an undefeated champion at the end, and 2nd place was also technically "undefeated":

A huge thank you to the 34 Commander Players we had enter our Commanday Day today! As we often do on our Wednesdays we spun a wheel to give out some promo packs, and as of this week we will be posting about it once again! So without further delay, congrats to our winners this week!

Guf Geelong presents the 5th Magic set (and third Universes Beyond set) of 2026 - The Hobbit! Come on down and play in our Sealed Pre-Release event, ready to engage with the forces of Middle Earth as Bilbo and the Dwarves undertake the quest to the Lonely Mountain! One event Friday, two events Saturday, one event Sunday.
Sunday will be, as tradition, 2-Headed Giant!

Come in for some Pauper tournament fun! Every 2nd Sunday, starting the first sunday of August we will be hosting a casual Pauper tournament at Guf with prizing dependent on number of participants. Come and play in one of the more fun 60-card MTG formats (in our opinion) that doesn't break the bank!

-Sunday 23rd August - The Hobbit Commander Party
Come and engage in a story-inspired casual Commander event for The Hobbit. Journey across iconic Middle-Earth locations using special rules and play aids and compete to earn a special Promo Card for the event (while stocks last)!

It was great night of games last night, with the surprise return of a seasoned veteran from the last decade making her return to tournament play.

40K League is back for 11th Edition!

That's right folks! The legends at Fatboys Gaming are back for season 3 of the Fatboys 40K League.

Hosted right here at Guf Geelong, join us Thursday nights with new round pairings going up every 2 weeks.

This season there will be 5 rounds with our 4 top players at the end of round 5 playing off to determine the winner.

New Models. New Armies. New edition.
We're keen to see what you guys do to mix things up from previous seasons. With the influx of new and returning players, and people painting completely new armies we want to encourage this creativity. With this in mind there will be no paint score for this season. So keep building, painting and converting to your hearts content.

There will be prizes this season for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and best painted.
