Today’s temporary closure of Market Street for the Winter Sun event provided a useful insight into how the proposed traffic changes may impact local traffic flow.

Observations included:

• An approximate eight-minute wait to turn right from the rear car park.
• Traffic congestion extending beyond View Street back from the roundabout.

While these delays occurred during a relatively moderate traffic period, it raises concerns about the potential impact during peak holiday periods such as Easter and Christmas, when visitor numbers and traffic volumes are significantly higher.

A huge congratulations to 10-year-old Bailey, who takes out last month's Kids Fishing Photo Comp with an absolute cracker of a catch – his very first jewfish!
Measuring an impressive 114cm, Bailey landed this beauty using a Saltist rod he recently picked up from Tackle World Merimbula. What a way to christen a new setup!
