This little bottle is not just pretty to look at ✨

I’ve had a few customers tell me how much they love The Good Oil Face Oil, but one story really stayed with me. A friend of mine has been using it on the dry, irritated skin around his eyes when his eczema flares up, and he honestly swears by it.

Of course, everyone’s skin is different, and I’m not saying this is a treatment for eczema — but I do think it says a lot when people keep coming back to a product because their skin feels calmer, softer and more comfortable.

People often ask me why I care so deeply about animals.

Truth is… I’ve always loved animals, but not to the extent I do now.

We always had a dog growing up, and I truly believe that living with animals changes you. It teaches you kindness, compassion, patience and the purest form of unconditional love.

Today, our home is filled with love, chaos and laughter thanks to our little fur family. There’s never a dull moment in our house, and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way 🤍

But for me, loving animals doesn’t stop with the ones that live in our home.

Being an animal lover changes how you see the world. You notice things many people walk past.

An injured bird on the side of the road. A possum that didn’t make it… but still has babies in her pouch. Tiny lives that desperately need someone to care.

I’m at the vet every other week, usually with an injured bird or wildlife I’ve found on a walk.

At first, I think this drove my husband slightly crazy 😅 But now? He’s my biggest support and absolute hero.

If I call him while out walking, the first thing he asks is:

“What did you find this time… and which carrier should I bring?” ❤️

Not every animal we take to the vet can be saved. And that part never gets easier.

During those brutal summer heatwaves, hubby and I would leave bowls of water around our l neighbourhood where birds gather — because when you see them gasping for water in 40-degree heat, you simply can’t look the other way.

And I’m not sharing this to brag. Far from it.

I’m sharing it because loving animals this deeply is both a blessing and, sometimes, a burden.

When you feel so much compassion for innocent living beings, you carry a sadness too. A feeling that no matter how much you do, it never feels enough.

That feeling never really leaves me.

My ultimate dream is to one day have a huge sanctuary — a forever home for animals that are elderly, unwanted, injured or simply never adopted.

Maybe then, just maybe, it will feel like enough.

Because if living with animals teaches us anything, it’s this:

Love without expecting anything in return.

And honestly… I think humans have a lot to learn from them 🤍

There is nothing more rewarding than doing a quick self-care routine after a long and hard-working day.

This is my current evening routine — simple, nourishing and exactly what my skin needs during these cold winter days.

I’ve been mixing my night cream with a few drops of the new Ere Perez gradual tan, and honestly, it gives my skin that healthy-looking glow without needing much makeup the next day.

Here’s what I’m currently using:

Antipodes Gospel Vitamin C Skin Glow Gel Cleanser
A beautiful gel cleanser with kakadu plum, Vinanza grape & kiwi, lotus flower, olive squalane and meadowfoam. I love this as my first step because it leaves my skin feeling fresh, clean and revitalised without feeling stripped.

La Mav Collagen Support
This is my glow-boosting treatment step. It contains Australian native botanicals like Kakadu plum, Davidson plum and finger lime to support dull, tired-looking skin and help the complexion look smoother, brighter and more radiant.

A lovely final step for the eye area. It feels rich and comforting, and helps the delicate skin around the eyes look more nourished, soft and luminous.
