Not long left to get your memory on the sails.

We're collecting memories of Devonport for the shade sails going up at Stony Rise Village. Adele Auchterlonie is turning a selection of them into painting.

Yours could be one of them.

Two minutes to share, and there's a $200 Woolworths gift card in it for one of you.

Closes Thursday 10 September.

We need your Devonport memories.

Above the carpark at Stony Rise Village, a series of shade sails will carry original artwork — and we want the community in them.

Share a memory of Devonport on our website and it could become part of the design. A moment from a visit. A daily ritual as a local. A place that changed something for you.

Artist Adele Auchterlonie, one of the artists working on the shade sails, will use a selection of them as the starting point for a series of paintings.

Everyone who submits goes into the draw for a $200 Woolworths gift card. Closes Thursday 10 September.

Meet Adele Auchterlonie ().

Adele is one of the artists designing the shade sail artwork for Stony Rise Village.

She's a Hobart artist who turns memories into paintings. Colours chosen on instinct, symbols working like coordinates, each one pointing back to a moment that mattered. She calls them Memory Maps. They don't chart where something happened. They chart how it felt.

We think that's the right way to put Devonport on a shade sail.

Her last exhibition was called Collective Memories. The next one might have you in it. We'll be asking for your Devonport memories soon.

Progress on site.

Precast panel installation is progressing well, with the Woolworths shell now nearing completion.

That means the structural steel for the roof is now going up.

Walls, sorted. Roof, next. 🏗️

The Coffee Club is coming to Stony Rise Village.

Even better — it's being run by a local operator, so it'll be Devonport people behind the counter.

Great coffee, all-day food, somewhere to actually sit.

We've been looking forward to announcing this one.

Opening 2027. Coffee, sorted. ☕

We're about to lodge the Development Application for our new Early Learning Centre at Stony Rise Village.

Six rooms. 86 places. Room for the whole neighbourhood to grow up together.

Two nursery rooms for our littlest learners (0–2s). Two toddler rooms (2–3s). Two kinder rooms (3+) getting ready for big school.

Three outdoor play areas. A proper kitchen. A place designed for early years, done properly.

More to come as the application progresses.

Childcare, sorted.

Nobody plans a shopping trip around the bathrooms.

Fair enough. But once Stony Rise Village opens, you might.

Backlit mirrors and a dedicated beauty bar in Female. Full-height mirrors and proper spacing in Male. A DDA bathroom that's actually built for access, not just compliant on paper.

And then there's the Parents Room — the real showstopper. Two baby change bays. A quiet Feeding Room next door. A Family Toilet built in. A kids' play corner with its own train mural — signage and all, pointing "TO TRAINS."

We know. Bathrooms aren't usually the exciting part of a shopping centre.

This time, they might be.

Shopping, sorted. 🚂
