My name is Pete Davies and I am the Powertex Master Trainer for France. When I was still living in the UK, I had been experimenting with a wide variety of creative products after many years running workshops in furniture painting and Venetian plastering. I discovered Powertex through a friend who was using a ‘similar’ product but I felt that there must be something of better quality. And that was Powertex. I loved the product so much that I then went to Belgium to gain my Master Trainer certificate.

Since when have you been a Powertex distributor?

Since 2019. Stella Van der Geyten is my partner and runs the distributorship and social media giving me the freedom to concentrate solely on my artistic pursuits. She is from a business and Sports Management background. Her creative hobby is gardening. She stays out of the workshop and I keep out of the office!

Which town or region do you operate from?
I am now based in my workshop in a small hamlet surrounded by a beautiful garden, woodland and fields in the Charente region of France.
What is your favorite Powertex product or products?
My favourite product is Stone Art as well as the wide variety and excellent quality of Powertex pigments.

What would you say is your strongest skill or specialty when working with Powertex?
My strongest skill is in teaching classically trained and forward-thinking Artists how to incorporate Powertex into their existing skill set. I also enjoy using my signature marble finish and mixing products to achieve a unique look.
Is there anything else you would like to share about yourself or your passion for Powertex?
I was born in rural West Wales, close to the coast. I was the only boy with 7 sisters and yes, I admit I was spoilt! My father used to handpaint cars and lorries and I have also handpainted vehicles, including our electric ‘Powertex France’ car. I have been on many industry training courses, including to Milan where I qualified as a Venetian plasterer. I have worked with paint related products and Venetian plaster for over 50 years, for the most part on large interior projects with specialised finishes and various techniques including wall friezes. Powertex has given me the opportunity to channel my creativity into smaller projects which I can make in my own workshop in my own time.

How did you discover Powertex? It was at the Christmas market that Kjersti E Matre took part in, with her pictures and sculptures in 2015 Since when have you been a Powertex distributor? first starting with just the online store in 2020 and becoming a distributor in 2024

Which city or region do you operate from? Stord near Bergen - West in Norway What is your favorite product or products from Powertex? Universal medium and stone Art. Structure with easy 3dflex.

What would you say is your strongest skill or specialty when working with Powertex? Love self-hardening clay, and just let your imagination and mood create sculptures.

Is there anything else you would like to share about yourself or your passion for Powertex? Being able to contribute and guide others to enjoy powertex makes the days wonderful.

I discovered Powertex more than 15 years ago while I was searching for my own artistic path and a way to express myself creatively. During my journey of exploring different art techniques, I came across the fabric hardening technique, and I was immediately fascinated. As I continued to learn, I discovered more and more possibilities that Powertex offered—and I completely fell in love with it. It was love at first touch, and that feeling has stayed with me ever since.
Which town or region do you operate from?

My creative studio, MiwanArt, is based in Ksawerow, near Lodz in central Poland, and this is where I host most of my workshops. At the same time, I love traveling and regularly visit different regions of Poland to teach workshops and share the Powertex experience with creative communities across the country.
Since when have you been a Powertex distributor?
I have been an official Powertex distributor and instructor in Poland for almost 15 years.
What is your favorite Powertex product or products?
It is difficult to choose just one! Powertex itself will always be my number one because of its incredible versatility. I also love Easy3D Flex, which allows me to create sculptures and unique textures, and Bister, which gives my projects beautiful depth and character.
What would you say is your strongest skill or specialty when working with Powertex?
My greatest passion is combining sculpture with mixed media to create artworks that tell a story and evoke emotions. I especially enjoy designing original workshop projects and sharing my knowledge with others. Seeing people discover their creativity is the most rewarding part of my work.

Is there anything else you would like to share about yourself or your passion for Powertex?

For me, Powertex is much more than an art medium—it is a way of connecting people, building confidence, and showing that everyone has creative potential. Over the years I have had the pleasure of teaching hundreds of students and instructors, and I still feel the same excitement every time I see someone create something they never believed they could.
