🌊 Come take a walk on the rocks with us at Bamford Island.

Smooth stone, crystal-clear water, fresh Lake Huron air, and views that make you want to stop and stay awhile. Sometimes the best road trip memories happen when you pull over, wander a little, and see where the trail takes you.

This stop was extra special for us—it’s where Sheila’s wedding photos were taken many years ago. 💚 Returning to this beautiful spot brought back so many memories while making a few new ones along the way.

🌊 Come walk the rocky shores of Lake Superior with us.

On our way home from Quilt Canada, we made a stop near Rossport and explored one of Northern Ontario’s hidden gems. Smooth rock formations, crystal-clear water, endless views, and some of the most beautiful scenery we’ve seen on the entire trip.

Sometimes the best part of a road trip isn’t the destination—it’s the unexpected places you discover along the way. 💚

🚐 Day 8: Winnipeg to Thunder Bay

The road trip home is officially underway!

Today we traded the excitement of Quilt Canada for long stretches of highway, beautiful prairie views, and eventually the rugged scenery of Northern Ontario. After an incredible week in Winnipeg, it gave us a chance to slow down, reflect, and relive some of our favourite moments from the show.

We’re heading home with less fabric than we brought, lots of new ideas, plenty of stories, and hearts full of gratitude for everyone who made Quilt Canada so special.

One more stop before we’re home. 💚

🚐 Day 7: Pack Up Day

Yesterday marked the end of an incredible time at Quilt Canada.

The quilts came down, the shelves were emptied, the displays were packed away, and somehow everything found its way back into the van. After months of planning and preparation, it was hard to believe it was already time to pack up.

We’re heading home feeling grateful for every person who stopped by Booth 22, supported our small business, shared kind words about our quilts and patterns, and helped make this experience so memorable.

Thank you for following along on our journey from Ontario to Winnipeg and back again. Quilt Canada 2026 was one for the books. 💚

Now it’s time to hit the road, unpack the van, and start dreaming about the next adventure.

Some quilts stop you in your tracks, and this was one of them. ✨

I had the privilege of meeting Aline and Natasha from Aline & Natasha Bugarin | Machine Quilting , and they are every bit as incredible as their work. Their passion, creativity, and love for quilting shine through in every detail.

This masterpiece was entirely hand drawn and quilted using a combination of ruler work and free-motion quilting. The level of artistry is simply unbelievable. But what makes it even more remarkable? Hidden within the design are 55 animals. Every time you look, you discover something new.

The craftsmanship, imagination, and countless hours that went into this piece are absolutely jaw-dropping. It was one of my favourite quilts from Quilt Canada, and seeing it in person was an experience I won’t soon forget.

Thank you, Aline and Natasha, for sharing your incredible talent with the quilting community. 💚 I hope I got all the details correct 🤞

One of my favourite parts of Quilt Canada is seeing the incredible creativity and craftsmanship on display. These quilts were the ones that really caught my eye this year!
