✨ Elderflowers are blooming!✨

Did you know these delicate flowers can be turned into a refreshing homemade cordial? 🌿🍋 Perfect to mix with sparkling water, in mocktails, or cocktails all summer long!

Our elderberry plants are currently in flower and ready to plant in your garden so you can enjoy beautiful blooms now and harvest berries later in the season too.

European elderberries are fast-growing shrubs producing clusters of berries that turn black in July and August. The berries aren’t the best for fresh eating but are ideal for preserves, pies, jams and wine.

Elderberries prefer full sun and moist, well-draining soil. For more effective pollination, plant two different varieties of elderberry. They are large shrubs, growing to 8 feet tall and wide, so give them plenty of space.

Stop by and grab one while they flower— and don’t forget to save this recipe card for later! 💛

Pulmonaria

Lungwort easily falls under the ‘unsung hero’ category, especially for shady nooks! Low mounds of dense, soft foliage are topped with clusters of blooms in late spring - a great mixer with primulas Slower growing to about 1-1.5’ high and wide (can be divided in the fall if overcrowded). Depending on the variety, blooms can be bright blue, rose-pink or soft purple. Variegated varieties add additional vibrance too! They do not do well in dry areas, so ensure you have a rich, well-draining woodland type soil to plant into. Dappled sun is fine, but they are best in part sun to shade. Generally hardy to Zone 3, and attractive to pollinators!🐝
