📖 This Is My Story.

For years, I struggled to understand myself while navigating life with ADHD, depression, and a mind that never seemed to slow down.

I often felt seen but never truly heard, or heard but never really seen. Somehow, I was always too much or never quite enough.

When I returned to college, I decided to prioritize my mental health. With the right support, medication, and strategies, I slowly learned to embrace my differences rather than focus on my struggles.

I began recognizing my potential instead of questioning my worth.

Working in healthcare through COVID, experiencing isolation in my 20s, and losing people I loved taught me a lot about grief, resilience, and vulnerability.

Poetry became my way of expressing emotions I couldn't always say out loud. I began sharing my writing through Vulnerable Verses, connecting with others who found comfort in my words.

Books became another escape, allowing me to step away from my own story and get lost in someone else's for a little while. I also discovered new creative outlets, including crocheting, that helped me find peace during difficult moments.

Through my years in healthcare and recreation, I've learned that even the smallest gestures can make someone feel seen, heard, and valued. Having experienced what it's like not to fit in, inclusion and accessibility will always be close to my heart.

🌸 And that's where Signs for Good Times comes in.

Growing up with a single mom, thrift store finds, hand-me-downs, and making the most of what we had were part of everyday life.

Those experiences taught me that beautiful things don't have to be brand new or expensive to hold value.

What began as a creative outlet using materials I already had grew into a small business centered around second chances, sustainability, self-care, and thoughtful gifting. 🌎

Sometimes, the best thing we can do for ourselves is step away from our own story for a little while.

Life can feel overwhelming, and not every chapter is easy to navigate. Some days, we don't need answers, a fresh perspective, or even a plan. We simply need a moment to breathe.

For me, books have always been a place to escape when my own thoughts became a little too loud. A reminder that it's okay to pause, get lost in someone else's story, and return to my own when I'm ready.

As we turn the page into another week, remember:

🤎 You don't have to have everything figured out.

🌿 Rest is just as important as progress.

📖 Taking a break from your story doesn't mean you've stopped writing it.

A new week doesn't mean you need to become a new person. Sometimes, it simply means giving yourself another chance.

Today was a day I decided to put myself first and be still, while doing the self-care steps to set myself up for a hopefully, healthier week. Getting sick sucks especially when you’re too sick to read 😢 first world problems I know.
