My cousins graciously contacted me as they were going through my late great aunt’s house to let me know there were a few things I might like to keep. I was able to find a few treasures and am so happy they have a home to be displayed and viewed by visitors.
The owl I remember as a kid when we would visit over the holidays and I love the cardinals and cherry blossoms. I think they fit in well!

I’ll post a few more pics soon of some of the neat items I found in the sewing boxes.

Merry Merganser Embroidery Workshop (May 30, Jun 6) 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

This workshop will show students how to compose an image with minimal foreground and background with a featured centrepiece. You will learn a total of eight stitch types. This class is meant for ambitious beginners or intermediate students.

Materials included:
-5" wooden hoop
-embroidery needle
-embroidery floss in various colours
-foundation fabric (cotton)
-needle minder

The kits come with everything you need, including a wonderful instruction booklet and the design pre-printed on the fabric. Great for all skill levels and make a beautiful keepsake or gift.

A reminder we have CRAFTERNOON at the Garneau Theatre put on in partnership with us and with the this Sunday, May 17 at 4:15 pm

Tickets can be purchased online through the metro and just bring your current WIP and your lovely self! If you need a project (or project bag!) there will be some awesome vendors in the lobby.

We are closed this Monday for the holiday (no Crafter Dark) but will be open on Tuesday at 10am.

The Summer Breeze knitted top class is a pattern designed by and is scheduled for Thursday June 18, 25 and July 2 from 6-8 pm. This is an excellent summer knit for experienced beginners. Please see our website under “events” for class details and supplies.
