Just announced on the latest Nintendo Direct, the Legend of Zelda Ocarina of time is coming to Switch 2 on November 5, 2026!! This is not just a huge graphical facelift, it also upgrades much of the gameplay mechanic to make it a new experience!
Details about the release are sparse, but rest assured that we'll try our best to keep you posted as we get more information. We also plan on having a midnight launch, and we'll share those details as we get closer to launch day. Make sure you preorder your copy as soon as possible, as this will help insure that we get a big allocation of physical copies! Thanks for supporting Microplay!

The big companies may be wanting a digital future, but there are lots of good reasons to keep investing in physical games! When you buy digitally, you have no ownership of the license....you may have spent a LOT of money and have NOTHING to show for it if you don't like it or are finished with it. But when you buy a physical game, you can trade it back in to offset the cost of your next purchase! And if you keep it, no company can revoke your ability to play that game. We're sure you're all aware of the announcements regarding the upcoming release of the highly anticipated GTA IV this November! There's been a lot of excitement, confusion and disappointment in the last few days, and we won't go over all the details in this post! But at this point in time, it looks like customers will be able to purchase the game in stores, but it will be a 'CODE-IN-BOX'. There will be NO physical disc version available on launch. Many stores are taking a 'wait and see approach' before moving forward with pre-orders. But we have decided to begin taking pre-orders for the 'code-in-box' STANDARD version at our locations in Guelph, Kitchener and Brantford. We would appreciate it if you only put your name down if you're CERTAIN you want the 'code-in-box' version, as we will use those numbers to determine how many copies we bring in. We will try our best to update everyone with additional information as it becomes available. Thanks for understanding!
