Well it's that time again. Days are getting shorter, nights are getting colder. Sigh. Summer never seems long enough.
We are now accepting orders for fall digging. We have a variety of larger field trees available this year: Sundancer poplar, Tower poplar, White ash, green ash, balsam poplar, Swedish columnar aspen, laurel leaf willow, White spruce
We also have some ornamental and fruit trees in the field that are coming along nicely and are a good size for moving.
Some varieties have limited numbers so the sooner you place your order the better. All trees will be dug around the end of September except spruce which can be moved starting now.
Give us a call 403-304-5416.
If you require planting we can make recommendations on a great outfit.

With spring ALMOST here (hopefully) we are gearing up for the spring season. We are accepting orders for the spring digging which will occur as soon as we can get into the field until the leaves start to bud out.
Let us know as soon as you can if you are looking for field grown trees this spring, as many varieties are already spoken for in large numbers.
We have lots of good sized (6-8ft) potted trees as well for easy transport and planting.

So today I did an apple taste test with the family. Prairie magic vs Odyssey. They all thought the Odyssey was a store bought apple (We always buy galas). The consensus on the Prairie Magic was that it was sweeter and juicier. So my kids chose it and my husband chose the Odyssey. These are pictures of my prize apples from each of these varieties this year. The biggest one is a Prairie Magic.
