There are days when you get so caught up in the business that you almost forget why you started it in the first place. ❤️

It was never just about hot tubs, pools or swim spas.

It’s about more time at home. More afternoons in the water. More laughs, more memories, and more moments with the people you love most.

And sometimes, watching a grandma and her grandson swim together is the perfect little reminder of it all.

☀️ Long weekend mode: ON.

Just a quick heads up that Solar Swim will be closed on Monday so our team can enjoy the long weekend with family and friends.

We'll be here during our regular business hours the rest of the weekend, so if you need water testing, chemicals, parts, or you've been thinking about that new hot tub or pool upgrade, stop by before Monday!

Somewhere between your name and your phone number... we became besties.

But honestly? We wouldn't have it any other way.

One of the best parts of what we do isn't just helping with pools and hot tubs. It's getting to know the people behind them. We've celebrated new homes, weddings, babies, retirements, and vacations. We've also listened through tough days, health scares, work stress, and everything in between.

Some customers come in for chlorine. Some come in because they need to chat.

Over the years, Solar Swim has become so much more than a pool store. It's a place where people know your name, ask how you're doing, and genuinely care about the answer.

So if you've ever caught yourself saying, "I only came in for one thing..." and somehow stayed for 30 minutes... just know we probably enjoyed the conversation as much as you did.

Our hearts are with everyone affected by the ongoing wildfires across Ontario and beyond. 💙

We want to extend a sincere thank you to the incredible firefighters, first responders, and volunteers working tirelessly to protect our communities. We are also thinking of the families who have been displaced or impacted during this difficult time.

With the current air quality affecting Orangeville and surrounding areas, it's important to remember that your pool or hot tub water is being impacted too.

Smoke and airborne ash introduce additional contaminants into the water, which can:
• Increase chlorine demand
• Raise the amount of organic waste in the water
• Affect water clarity
• Throw off your water balance
• Put extra strain on your sanitizer and filtration system

To help protect your water, we recommend:
✔️ Test your water more frequently than usual.
✔️ Keep your sanitizer in the proper range.
✔️ Shock your water if you notice increased chlorine demand, cloudy water, or after heavy ash exposure.
✔️ Run your pump and filtration system longer to help remove fine particles.
✔️ Empty skimmer baskets and clean or rinse your filters more often.
✔️ If you have a cover, keep it closed whenever the pool or hot tub is not in use to help keep ash and debris out.

If you're unsure what your water needs, bring us a sample. Our team is happy to test it and recommend the right products to keep your water clean, clear, and safe.

Please stay safe, limit outdoor exposure when air quality is poor, and thank you again to everyone working on the front lines. 💙
