🚧 What happens when a vehicle enters a work zone unexpectedly?

That’s where a crash truck can play an important role. Equipped with a truck-mounted attenuator (TMA), crash trucks are designed to absorb and reduce the impact of a collision, helping create an added layer of protection between approaching traffic and the crews working ahead.

They can be used during stationary or mobile operations and configured to support different traffic management and project needs. It’s equipment you may pass on the road without thinking twice about, but its purpose is important: helping protect workers, motorists, and the work zone around them.

Is your FLRA complete before the work begins? 👷‍♂️⚠️

A Field Level Risk Assessment is more than paperwork. Along with a Temporary Traffic Management Plan, it is a critical tool used to protect workers and the public.

Recent field observations and site inspections identified several common FLRA deficiencies:

🟧 FLRAs not completed before work begins
🟧 Hazards and risk ratings not properly identified
🟧 Missing worker signatures or participation
🟧 FLRAs not updated when conditions change
🟧 Inadequate documentation of traffic-related hazards

TMPs also need to reflect the actual conditions of each site. Generic or reused plans that do not match site conditions are not acceptable.

Review the hazards, confirm the plan, and make sure every worker is part of the FLRA discussion before work gets underway.

Proud to support the industry that keeps Ontario moving. ⛳

We had a great day at the 2026 Ontario Road Builders' Association (ORBA) Annual Members’ Golf Tournament, where we were proud to sponsor the Men’s Longest Drive competition on the Red Crest course.

With hundreds of professionals from Ontario’s roadbuilding and transportation infrastructure community coming together, the tournament was a great opportunity to connect with contractors, suppliers, and industry partners we work alongside throughout the year.

For us, supporting events like this is about strengthening industry relationships and staying connected to the people helping build and maintain Ontario’s infrastructure.

Why are message boards such an important part of traffic control? 🚧

They give motorists clear, timely information about lane closures, detours, delays, and changing road conditions, helping drivers know what to expect before they reach a work zone.

That advance warning can reduce confusion, support smoother traffic flow, and create safer conditions for both drivers and crews.

Clear information helps everyone make better decisions on the road.

The team is out doing what they do best: helping keep roads and busy spaces safer. 🚧

Traffic barrels play an important role in clearly defining traffic areas, guiding drivers and pedestrians, and improving visibility around work zones and special events.

It’s great to see our equipment out in the field supporting another busy weekend in the community.

A great day on the course in support of an important cause. ⛳

We were proud to take part in Z'gamok Enterprises Inc.’s 1st Annual Golf Tournament as a Hole Sponsor, helping bring industry and community partners together in support of the Canadian Mental Health Association Sudbury/Manitoulin and the local mental health programs and services it provides across the region.

Thank you to Z’gamok Enterprises Inc. for organizing such a meaningful inaugural event, and to everyone who came together to support the cause.
