Another worthy group to donate your extra yarn!

Every client who comes through Prairie Hospice Society receives something made just for them: a handmade lap blanket. 🧶💚

Behind each one is a volunteer who has given countless hours, needle by needle, to make sure no one goes without that small but meaningful comfort. She works entirely from donated yarn, and every skein you’ve shared has become a blanket for someone in need of warmth, comfort, and care.

Our yarn supply is running low, and we’d love your help to keep the blankets coming. If you have yarn tucked away in a closet, a basket, or the corner of a craft room, please consider dropping it off at our office. Our volunteer will put it to good use.

Thank you to everyone who has donated, and to all of those will (or who will share our request with your loved ones who have a room full of yarn hidden away!), and to the volunteer whose kindness is stitched into every blanket. 💚
