If you’ve been following along here, you know how excited I get when I stumble upon something I truly love.

This set caught my eye the moment I walked through the doors of the little thrift shop. A dreamy ice-blue/sea-foam green peignoir set, complete with a flowing chiffon robe, satin trim, and all the glamour of another era. The kind worn by women in old black-and-white movies — the ones who woke up looking effortlessly put together, with perfectly coiffed hair and a touch of lipstick, and somehow looked just as lovely at day’s end.

And although it was meant for sleeping, I think it deserves to be worn all day long.

So, there’s a really good chance you’ll find me wearing this on the porch this summer: windows open, dogs sprawled beside me, a cold glass of lemonade in hand and 1940s music drifting through the open windows.

Vintage pieces like this make you feel as though you’ve stepped into another time. And this one feels like summer. 🧡

My first market at the Crystal Palace was everything I hoped it would be. It was wonderful to meet new people, put faces to some of my social media followers, and spend the day surrounded by others who appreciate the beauty of vintage.

I love the excitement and energy that vintage lovers bring, and I am grateful to be able to share these treasures with others who love them as much as I do!

I can’t tell you how many times I heard:

“My grandma had one of those.”

“My grandpa had that at his cottage.”

To me, that’s the greatest compliment.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: vintage isn’t about buying things—it’s about buying a feeling.

Vintage connects us to the people, places, and moments that shaped us. A memory of your grandmother’s kitchen. Your grandfather’s cottage. The quilt that your mom always had folded over the arm of the sofa. The dish that sat on the table at every family gathering.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, shared a story, made a purchase, or simply took a look around.

I recently purchased these canisters from a local sale, after being discovered in the basement of an old Prince Edward County farmhouse.

And here’s the thing… I couldn’t find a single comparable set. Not on Google. Not on Etsy. Not on eBay. Nowhere.

Stapled ‘89 and wrapped carefully in an old box, they appear to have been stored away for decades. The condition is remarkable. And vintage lovers know exactly what I mean when I say the box and paper still carried that unmistakable old vintage smell. 🧡

Were they made by a local PEC potter? A one-off commission? A small studio production that never made it beyond the County? I may never know, but what I do know is that they were pre-claimed almost immediately by someone who loves ducks 🧡

It’s finds like these that remind me why I love what I do. The thrill of uncovering something unexpected, the treasures discovered inside local homes and the stories that they carry with them… and then… connecting these special pieces with people who instantly fall in love. 🥰

So please keep me in mind, if you’re searching for a particular item, collection, colour, or theme. My greatest thrill in this adventure is tracking down pieces that make your heart happy and your soul squeal in delight.

I was lucky enough to come across this vintage necklace and earring set months ago and instantly thought of Adison.

A Victorian Revival / Art Deco inspired set dating to the late 70s / 80s with sterling silver, marcasite detailing, deep garnet stones, and the prettiest bow accents… soft but strong, bold but classy, girly yet sophisticated all at once.

Exactly her. 🧡

So I tucked it away knowing it would make the perfect birthday gift. We gifted it to her today, on her actual birthday, as she headed out to dinner to celebrate with friends. And tomorrow we’ll gather around our table as a family to celebrate 22 beautiful years with our girl.

Her favourite homemade banana cream pie is waiting, she’ll be adorned in vintage jewels, and this mama’s heart will be soaking in every moment. ✨

A little look around Lovey Collected. 🧡

In hopes of sharing things as quickly and easily as possible, I’m going to start sharing regular little “Looks Around Lovey Collected”. With so many treasures waiting to be shared, I’m thinking this just might be the best way to make them available a little faster.

Starting with this sweet little country heart gathering full of cozy 90’s country charm. These were the kinds of pieces that were popular when I was first married and decorating my own first home, so it’s been especially fun to see them come back around again, especially popular with the younger generation who are also just beginning to make their house feel like home. 🧡
