We aren’t bakers but we sure are lucky to know many bakers and chef’s. Our Portuguese pastries will be by the very talented William from .to. We have many collaborations with restaurants throughout our neighbourhood and city who are creating special deliciousness for us. Our first collaboration is the creation of our breakfast sandwich THE CALDO VERDE. This beauty (first photo) was the idea of the brain child Kaitlyn Lasagna . since my sister is married to her cousin we are family! Many of you already know Kaitlyn’s talent and have been lucky to eat her delicious food. When I asked Kaitlyn if she could create a breakfast sandwich for us she immediately said let’s create something with all the ingredients that go in to the caldo verde soup. Me being inept in the kitchen looked at her blankly and thankfully Kaitlyn responded to leave it to her 🙃 Think hash brown (the potatoes), greens (collard greens), egg, chouriço layered on a Portuguese sweet bun with a special piri piri sauce. Chef’s kiss! but you be the judge of this. ♥️ We will also have charcuterie to go boxes, especially great for the park. These will include choices of tinned fish, chouriço, cheese, lupini beans, olives, sourdough bread, presunto chips….It’s the final countdown! We are so excited!!! Can’t wait to see you soon.
