What a weekend! Thank you, Anoosha Syed | illustrator , for packing the shop and reading Love in Every Language to a very full — and very happy — room.

There was henna and kids everywhere: exactly the kind of afternoon we’re here for. And a lovely bonus a visit from Jess Hannigan came by too, because good people bring good people.

Thank you to everyone who squeezed in. We loved having you.

Last week we held our first-ever Grown-Ups Book Club — and what a lovely start. Thank you to everyone who came out: the women who showed up with books in hand and their adorable babes in tow.

Big thanks to Letterbox Doughnuts for the spread. And to Harriet for walking us through her book, Motherclown, and getting everyone talking.

Our featured book of the week is What a Big Yawn by Marc Majewski. It turns out one yawn from a small child can affect the world. This super fun book with boldly painted illustrations did NOT succeed in making us yawn.
