For anyone who has managed to avoid the marketing, Christopher Nolan's adaptation of Homer's Odyssey came out in July. A 2,800-year-old poem is currently outselling most things in cinemas. I find this genuinely delightful, and not only because it means I no longer have to explain as much about the Odyssey when someone asks about our name. What almost everyone misses is what the Sirens were actually offering. It wasn't seduction. It was information. It was knowledge. That's what Sirene offers.
