Some things are just a little bit more personal. ❤️
I’ve always believed that an order of service doesn’t have to be traditional. It doesn’t have to follow a certain format, or look a certain way. It should tell the story of the person you’re there to remember.
And these couldn’t be more her.
My Auntie Elaine was anything but ordinary, so creating something ordinary to celebrate her life just wouldn’t have felt right.
Every little detail has been chosen with her in mind. The music, the memories, the things she loved, and all those little touches that might not mean much to anyone else, but mean absolutely everything to us.
Whenever I say “lucky shoes” I’m wearing a pair of hers. ❤️
Music and gigs were such a huge part of her life, so we created a special gig ticket to accompany each order of service. A little keepsake for everyone who came to celebrate her life, something to tuck away and treasure, and a lasting reminder of a woman who really was one of a kind.
Creating these has been one of the hardest, but most meaningful things I’ve ever done.
Because when someone has lived a life so full of personality, love and laughter, I think the final goodbye should reflect every bit of that.
Not just an order of service, but a little piece of her, forever. ❤️
For our Elaine (Olly). Live Forever. x
