We hope everyone had a lovely sunny bank holiday weekend ☀️ we're back open and keeping the vibes alive today on what is the 100th birthday of the legendary Miles Davis, and to celebrate the jazz icon we've got deals on loads of Blue Note, Impulse & Fontana titles - now's a great time to start your jazz journey or fill in some gaps in your collection with some absolute classics! You can find them in the shop and online at the link below 🎺

Don't forget there's lots going on in store today, starting at 4pm with the playback of 'The Boys of Dungeon Lane,' the brand new record by Paul McCartney which releases this Friday. There are no tickets, it's a completely free event so come on down and make sure you don't miss out on the freebies...🎧

And then following that, we welcome the cosmic improvisor-composer Mike Cooper for what promises to be a mind-bending solo performance live and direct in the shop! Tickets are still available in advance, or bring cash on the door... we re-open for it at 6pm 🌌 🎶

We have new albums from the talented Kevin Morby and the incredible Jeff Parker, plus the likes of The Hoosiers, Jasmine Myra and the Outer Worlds Jazz Ensemble.

Archival gems from the vaults courtesy of The Beach Boys (with a limited edition double-sided print for those picking up their vinyl this weekend, while stocks last!) as well as Kraftwerk, The Raincoats, Masayoshi Takanaka and (finally) Style Council and Ween!

And there are a handful of copies remaining of the double-sided 10" single from Jagger & co., launching the Foreign Tongues era in thunderous fashion

We've been blown away by your support, you continue to out-do yourselves every year, RSD 2026 was the busiest yet, and we have a new record for earliest customers in the queue!!! It's amazing to see this brilliant community turn up to support and celebrate independent music culture with us, we're thrilled to have had you by our side for the last 40 years ❤️

Record Store Day is tomorrow!

We can't wait to welcome you all for the best day of the year, it's going to be an absolute cracker and we know tons of you will be queueing up excitedly to catch a glimpse of the records on your wish lists.

A reminder of some important rules & details for the weekend ahead:

• The shop will be open from 9am
• Queue up early to boost your chances of getting what you want
• No reservations, first come first served
• 1 copy of any individual item per customer
• 10 items total maximum per customer

We'll be open again on Monday for those who couldn't make it, before all remaining stock hits the website at 8pm Monday night.

Set your alarms, get caffeinated, wrap up warm and bag your place in the queue.
