It's Friday which means it's time for another new music drop, here are the three releases we've picked out as highlights from today's selection 🎶👉

Ezra Collective continue to bring joy to jazz and jazz to the masses. Always somehow finding the sweet spot between homage and originality, and nostalgia and groove, this project asks us to consider how come so much Black music born out of struggle sounds so joyous? Grab a signed print with vinyl copies of 'Here Because Of Hope' while stocks last 🎺

Legendary Japanese musician and YMO/Happy End co-founder Haruomi Hosono has just released the 23rd studio album of his career at the age of 78. It's warm, fuzzy, gentle, psychedelic and lo-fi in equal measure. He has recently been hanging out with Cameron Winter & David Byrne and has been name checked as a reference by everyone from Mac DeMarco to Harry Styles. Not to be missed 🪐🚀

Bonobo delivers another mix of dancefloor heavy-hitters and atmospheric sound bites. He's invited the likes of Joy Crookes, Nilüfer Tanya and Arooj Aftab to join him on 'Distance In Static' but the highlight for us is surely the dreamy 'Equioctial' featuring Ichiko Aoba🌌🪩

More new releases plus reissues galore, including Pixies, Don Cherry & Dollar Brand, Nigeria 80 and Funkadelic's incomparable 'Maggot Brain' back on wax again! 🎧

Some ice-cold fresh selections for a sweltering have landed today ☀️

The iconic Beth Orton makes her return with 'The Ground Above,' a deep, expansive release that swirls and swells with emotion, gravity and grit. Beautifully self-produced, Orton has called on stellar performers including Shahzad Ismaily, Dave Okumu and Vernon Spring's Sam Beste to lend their talents to the album's rich atmosphere. It's easy to lose yourself in its orbit.

SML are the LA five-piece representing the best of today's avant-garde, progressive and improvised music. 'Spontaneous Music Live' follows two captivating cut-and-collaged studio albums and is a free-flowing, groovy hypnosis in the spirit of Can's live krautrock excursions, or Miles Davis's 70's fusion freak-outs. The group features Anna Butterss & Josh Johnson of Flea & Jeff Parker's current ensembles!

JJerome87 is the solo moniker of Alt-J vocalist Joe Newman. His new album 'The Canyon' is a sprawling debut with heavy Motown, blues and gospel energy, as well as a healthy dash of his band's signature indie folktronica.
