John is back on track this weekend, heading to Castle Combe Circuit for the Autumn Classic on Saturday and Sunday, where he'll be racing the Ferrari 456 GT on the Superformance UK Ltd. Ferrari Club Classic grid organised by the Ferrari Owners' Club GB Ltd .

Last outing saw the addition of a new trophy to the collection at JDR, so expectations are high, however the previous round at Brands Hatch also provided some really exciting racing, so either way we know it will be a great weekend.

Something new is opening just down the road from us. Mill Race Moto lands in Aldham on 16 September, an artisan bakery and coffee bar built around a genuine love of cars, bikes and anything with an engine.

We went along to their early open day to see it for ourselves and it is a brilliant spot, run by great people and we can't wait to see what is next.

Motor Racing Legends has just released its 2027 calendar, and it's a proper one. Ten events across four countries, taking in everything from pre-war racers to modern GT3 machinery.

Highlights include the Spa Six Hours, the BRDC Classic at Silverstone, the London Historic Trophy at Brands Hatch, and a new Rewind Tour running from Thruxton to the Bowood Estate.

We've spent years running cars in this paddock, and it's one of our favourite corners of the historic calendar. The atmosphere, the variety of machinery, the paddock, it's always a great weekend racing.

This weekend we're running a 1973 Chevrolet Camaro on behalf of Simon Watts, who's racing in the Equipe 70s field at Brands Hatch Indy.

We should probably explain what is going on in these photos?!

That's John and Kevin, sat on the front wheels of Kevin's Caterham, clearly planning something. Once you know the story behind this car, you'll understand why there is plenty to talk about.

This is the actual CT05 that Marcus Ericsson raced, and crashed, at the 2014 Hungarian Grand Prix. When Caterham F1 folded that same year, it got stripped down and left in a corner of the factory. Kevin picked it up at auction for less than five grand and spent the next ten years chasing parts all over the world, including one steering wheel that took him all the way to a private owner in Australia.

We got the call to help make it run again, and we've loved every minute of it. A year of fabricating, wiring and problem solving later, in late 2024 it fired up under its own power for the first time since that crash in Hungary. Kevin was in the seat, driving his own F1 car.

Driver 61 recently released his video on the build and it's already had 1.8 million views, so we're clearly not the only ones who think it's a great story.

Another example of the in-house design and manufacturing capability we bring to every project at JDR, this time in the form of brake caliper pistons developed for customer car and finished with a titanium nitride coating. It is the kind of detailed engineering work that rarely gets seen but makes a genuine difference on track.

Tomorrow, John will be back on track at Brands Hatch for Festival Italia, racing in the Superformance Ferrari Club Classic. Gates open at 09:00 for a full day of Italian racing, demonstrations and displays across the Brands Hatch Indy circuit.

The Anthony Reid Nissan Primera and the David Leslie Honda Accord will both be out on track this weekend at Touring Car Rewind: South, Brands Hatch.

Tom Wood will be behind the wheel of the Primera, competing in the CTCRC Super Tourers race at 4:35pm on Saturday, as well as appearing alongside the Accord in the Special Touring Car Demonstration at 12:55pm. Jez Banks will be in the Accord for the demonstration.

If you cannot make it down to the circuit, the whole weekend will be live streamed on the British Automobile Racing Club YouTube channel, so you can follow all the action from wherever you are.
