They have been laying cables in Spon Street and frankly, it’s been very disruptive to those with businesses in the street 😢.
Hopefully it will be finished next week, but we’re concerned the road now has a massive tarmac strip down the middle. Why aren’t companies made to return the road to how it was? When the road was laid (sadly when the cobbles were taken up) there was a lot of consideration to finding a road material which would be in keeping. Like it or loathe it, at least it looked fresh. Now it’s resembling a pretty ugly patchwork quilt. What are your thoughts?
