A stunning set of custom retractable rods, this time a rebuild of the ESP QuickDraw 4K rods. These blanks with the standard build are quality, but our customer George wanted something special….

As featured before and loved by many, ALPS waveform seat and camouflage full duplon handles… we have built this combo on plenty of new builds and rebuilds including scopes and kaizen Greens!

Despite not being the first to have this combo, we always manage to add some small touches to make them more unique, see no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil monkeys to number the rods at the spigots, black and white Union Jack above the reel seats and lastly big thank you to Gio at Monkey Climber magazine for letting us add their logo on the butt caps.

Some Old Skool Daiwa’s needed some TLC and a few modifications to bring them back to life.

Our reel service offers some unique features that make it stand out above the rest:

🔧 Full dismantle and all parts inspected for wear and corrosion.
🧼 All parts cleaned by hand and then run through ultrasonic cleaners.
👨‍🔧 Assembled using ceramic and marine grade grease and lubricants.
📷 Photo updates throughout the whole process, allowing you to know exactly what’s happening with your reels.
⏰ Fast turn around, on average 7 days from receiving the reels.
🔧 Upgrades available for selected models from all manufacturers.

Traditional cork still looks great in our opinion, especially with small dark bur trims 👌
These Free Spirit ES rods certainly look great with the gunsmoke components, full length cork and 40mm kigan 3D gunsmoke guides 😍

Jay visited us to drop off the rods and choose exactly what he wanted from our huge range of components, even going so far as designing his own carp decals. He really had an eye for the smallest details and got just want he wanted 👍

A set of Free spirit Hi’S’ive ER we recently worked on, removing all components apart from the reel seat, which we repainted so it looked new for the customer 👍
Full duplon handles with flared fronts always look good. Tom opted for new guides, choosing the Vortex Air in shadow black built in distance spec.
We had built rods for Tom previously so graphics wise we added the exact same to these to give them a bespoke finish!

This recent build left our workshop, a sleek set of Stealth Graphenes. Keeping the original reel seats but fitted with a new full shrink handle, black collars and laser engraved butt caps. We also worked on this customers spod rod to give it the same look 👌

Small touches as always included laser engraved butt caps, coloured to match the banded whipping, customers family names added to the underside of the rod with red, white, blue and purple banding on spigot joints and by the reel seat.

A stunning set of Free Spirit 12ft 3.5lber leaving the workshop today.
Featuring new dark cork full length handles with 1k carbon reel seats, black collars and spiked butt caps 👌

Final touches make all the difference, these had red banding and line clips giving them a sleek finish. Good luck in France, hope these catch you a few 💪

A stunning set of 10ft Atrex rods that left our workshop recently. Using a mixture of full duplon handles with dark cork sections to create a stunning look, matched with a ALPS reel seats.
With the customer using braid a lot for his fishing, he opted for Kigan 3D guides for durability, we recommend these for all braid users!
As always, finished off with small details such as line clips with small green bands by the reel seat and laser engraved butt caps 👌
I imagine these will be catching plenty from the European canals this coming year 😉

The camo enthusiast Mike sent us his set of Free Spirit Hi’S’ive ER recently for handle rebuilds. The ever popular camo duplon handles with ALPS waveform reel seats make the perfect combo.
As always we like to go the extra mile, this time we made little lily pads to number the sections 👌 These were inspired by the incredible work of Andy Dommett
