🐸🔊 SURINAME PACMAN FROG CALLING 🔊🐸

Volume up for this one! 👀🔥

This handsome male Suriname Pacman Frog (Ceratophrys cornuta) decided to give us a little demonstration of one of the sounds these incredible frogs can make 😍

What you’re hearing is most likely what’s known as a release call.

If a male frog is grabbed or disturbed, he’ll often inflate and vibrate his sides while producing a short chirp, grunt or squeak.

It’s basically frog language for:

👉🏻 “Oi! I’m a male… let me go!” 😂

Amazingly, this helps prevent other males from wasting time and energy trying to wrestle or amplex another male.

It’s one of those fascinating little behaviours that many people never get to witness 👌🏻

Huge horns.
Massive personality.
And apparently plenty to say too 😅🔥

📏 One of the largest and most impressive Pacman Frog species.

🍽 Famous for their enormous appetites and ambush predator lifestyle.

Definitely turn the sound on for this one… it’s not every day you hear a Pacman Frog arguing its case 😎🐸

🦎✨ STARRY NIGHT TOKAY GECKO ✨🦎

Now this is something special 👀🔥

The Starry Night Tokay Gecko is one of the most stunning gecko species we’ve had through the doors.

Jet black background.
Bright white spotting.
An absolutely breathtaking gecko. ✨

We’ve currently got just 1 male available… and we don’t expect him to be here for long.

Now… if you’ve looked closely at the photo, you’ll notice he’s firmly attached to my hand with his mouth 😂

And that tells you everything you need to know about Tokays…

They’re famous for their confidence, their attitude and, yes… they’re definitely a feisty species! 😅

They’re not generally a gecko for regular handling, but for those who appreciate beautiful display animals, they’re absolutely second to none.

📏 A medium-large arboreal gecko with incredible colours and loads of personality.

🌿 Care:
• Tall tropical enclosure with plenty of climbing opportunities
• High humidity and good ventilation
• Cork bark, branches and dense planting

🍽 Diet:
Feeding on insects
